Contact Washers
Contact Washers are conical lock washers with a ribbed or serrated surface which makes contact with the nut or screw preventing it from loosening when subject to stress or vibration. The Contact Washer’s conical shape creates an elastic pre-load, which helps to maintain the tightness of the connection.
Pinstructure offers Contact Washers with a straight knurl to NF E 25-511 or the ‘ZZZ’ shaped knurl.
Contact Washers are grouped based on their outer diameters in relation to the nominal diameters of the washer, which also determines the ribbed or serrated surface area of the washer.
- Extra Small: available in ‘ZZZ’ type only.
- Small: available in Serrated Straight and ‘ZZZ’ type.
- Medium: available in Serrated Straight and ‘ZZZ’ type.
- Large: available in Serrated Straight and ‘ZZZ’ type.
- Toothed: available in Serrated Straight and ‘ZZZ’ type.
Available in Carbon Spring Steel, A2 Stainless Steel and A4 Stainless Steel. Standard finish for Carbon Spring Steel is Mechanical Zinc and Clear and Geomet 500A. Alternative finishes available, please enquire.
