Extractable Dowel Pins
Extractable Dowel Pins are parallel pins with a tapped extraction hole on one end. Extractable Dowel Pins are internally threaded, which allows these dowel pins to be extracted in blind hole applications.
Extractable Dowel Pins provide convenience and flexibility by allowing easy removal and replacement of a parallel pin. They are especially useful in assemblies which might need to dowel pin to be removed and reinstalled frequently or replaced during maintenance and repairs.

Our standard stock range includes:
- DIN7979D: Metric 12mm to 20mm diameters
- BS1804 Part 3: Metric 3mm to 25mm diameters, Inch ¼” to ¾” diameters
Our most popular Extractable Dowel's are manufactured to DIN7979D. For DIN7979D Extractable Dowel Pins with diameters 3mm to 10mm, please refer to BS1804 Part 3 due to interchangeable tapping sizes.
Our metric Extractable dowels are with Air Release Flats as standard.
